UNI-T UT512 2500V Insulation Resistance Tester

The UNI-T UT512 is a high-voltage insulation resistance tester for motors, cables, transformers, switchgear and electrical maintenance work. It applies selectable DC test voltages and measures insulation resistance up to the gigaohm range.

Insulation test ranges

• Selectable test voltages: 500 V, 1000 V, 1500 V and 2500 V DC.
• Insulation resistance measurement up to 100 GΩ, with the applicable range depending on the selected test voltage.
• Polarisation index (PI) and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR) functions for timed insulation assessment.
• Comparison, timer and data-storage functions for repeatable maintenance checks.

Additional functions

• AC voltage measurement up to 600 V.
• USB connection and supported PC software for stored-data review.
• Analogue bar graph and digital result display.
• Emergency stop and automatic discharge functions.

High-voltage safety

This instrument generates hazardous test voltage. Isolate, de-energise and discharge the equipment before connecting the tester. Use the supplied line, earth and guard leads as specified, keep hands behind probe barriers, restrict access to the test area and wait for the automatic discharge indication before removing leads.
