RIDEN RD6012 / RD6012W Programmable DC Buck Power Supply
The RD6012 series is a programmable DC step-down supply module for test benches, battery charging and electronics work. It needs a suitable DC source and cannot step voltage up: the input supply must remain above the required output voltage with adequate headroom.

Verified Module Specification
- 7 to 70 V DC input; adjustable 0 to 60.00 V output and 0 to 12.00 A output.
- Up to 720 W module output rating, subject to input source, cable rating, cooling and the selected package.
- 0.01 V voltage and 0.01 A current adjustment resolution, with constant-voltage and constant-current operation.
- Colour display, stored settings, protection functions, capacity and energy measurement.
- RD6012W includes Wi-Fi communication capability. The RD6012 version does not include Wi-Fi; both models support USB/PC operation according to the series documentation.

Choose the Correct Package
- RD6012: controller module only, without Wi-Fi.
- RD6012W: controller module with Wi-Fi capability.
- RD6012 S800 / RD6012W S800: controller module bundled with the S800 enclosure; Wi-Fi applies only to the W option.
- 800W PSU: compatible power-supply unit only, not an RD6012 controller. Select a controller module separately when one is required.

Safe Setup Notes
- Use a DC input supply that is rated for the expected power and current. Higher output current requires correct wire gauge, terminals, fusing and ventilation.
- Set an appropriate current limit before connecting a circuit or battery, and confirm output polarity and voltage at the terminals.
- Battery charging remains application-specific: use the battery manufacturer's charging voltage, current and safety requirements rather than relying on a general module setting.
