Raspberry Pi Zero, Zero W and Zero 2 W

Select a compact Raspberry Pi computer for embedded Linux projects, cameras, small network services and hardware experiments. The variants share the 65 × 30mm Zero form factor, but their processor and wireless capabilities are different.

Choose the Correct Board

• Raspberry Pi Zero: BCM2835 1GHz single-core CPU, 512MB RAM and no built-in wireless connectivity.
• Raspberry Pi Zero W: BCM2835 1GHz single-core CPU, 512MB RAM, 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 with Bluetooth Low Energy.
• Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W: RP3A0 1GHz quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 processor, 512MB SDRAM, 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 with Bluetooth Low Energy.

Zero 2 W offers substantially higher CPU performance than the original Zero family. Choose the exact option required for the operating system, networking and workload.

Shared Hardware Connections

• microSD card slot for the operating system and storage.
• Mini HDMI video output.
• Two micro-USB ports: one for power input and one USB OTG port for peripherals.
• 40-pin GPIO header footprint, supplied without header pins on the listed non-H variants.
• CSI camera connector; use the smaller Raspberry Pi Zero camera cable rather than the standard camera ribbon cable.

Setup Notes

• A microSD card, suitable micro-USB power supply, mini-HDMI adapter or cable, and any required headers or camera cable are selected separately unless explicitly shown in the selected option.
• Install Raspberry Pi OS or another compatible operating system to the microSD card before first use.
• Wireless capability is available only on the Zero W and Zero 2 W variants.
• Confirm the selected model before checkout: original Zero, Zero W and Zero 2 W are different boards and should not be treated as interchangeable for performance or wireless requirements.
