The Waveshare PCIE TO 4-CH NVME Board (B) expands the Raspberry Pi 5 PCIe interface to support up to four NVMe M.2 M-key solid-state drives. It is designed for storage expansion, multi-drive projects, and compact Raspberry Pi 5 NAS builds.

Power and Compatibility
- Designed for Raspberry Pi 5 and compatible CM5 baseboards with the required 16-pin PCIe interface.
- Supports NVMe-protocol M.2 drives only; SATA M.2 drives are not supported.
- Onboard DC input range: 7-24V.
- The board can supply up to 5V 5A to the Raspberry Pi 5 through the included 3-pin power cable when an appropriate external supply is used.
- Raspberry Pi 5 and NVMe drives are not included.
Package Options
The Without Power option includes the adapter board, screw pack, 3-pin cable, and 16-pin PCIe cable. The EU Power and US Power options add a 12V 4A power adapter with the selected plug type.
Installation Notes
Check the PCIe ribbon-cable orientation before power-up. The board operates in PCIe Gen2 x1 mode, so bandwidth is shared across the installed drives. Ensure sufficient cooling for the Raspberry Pi, SSDs, and adapter board, especially in an enclosed case. NVMe boot requires the Raspberry Pi bootloader and boot order to be configured before removing the original boot media.
