OWON XDG2030 Dual-Channel Arbitrary Waveform Generator

The XDG2030 is a two-channel bench arbitrary waveform generator for circuit development, verification and signal simulation. It provides up to 30 MHz sine-wave output on each channel, with independent output control for two related or separate test signals.

Verified Performance

  • Two output channels; sine-wave frequency range from 1 microhertz to 30 MHz.
  • 500 MSa/s sample rate, 14-bit vertical resolution and arbitrary-waveform length from 2 points to 10M points.
  • Six standard waveform groups: sine, square, pulse, ramp, noise and harmonic; 150 built-in arbitrary waveforms plus user-defined arbitrary waveforms.
  • 1 microhertz frequency resolution and specified frequency accuracy of plus or minus 2 ppm at 25 C plus or minus 5 C.
  • Integrated frequency counter supporting 100 mHz to 200 MHz, with frequency, period, pulse-width and duty-cycle measurements.

Signal and Modulation Functions

  • Supports AM, DSB-AM, FM, PM, ASK, FSK, PSK, BPSK, QPSK, 3FSK, 4FSK, OSK, PWM, SUM, sweep and burst functions.
  • For the XDG2030, square and pulse output are specified to 15 MHz; ramp output to 3 MHz; built-in arbitrary waveform output to 15 MHz.
  • Output amplitude into 50 ohms is specified from 1 mVpp to 10 Vpp up to 25 MHz, and from 1 mVpp to 5 Vpp above 25 MHz to 30 MHz. High-impedance connections require appropriate amplitude and load consideration.
  • 7-inch 800 x 480 LCD, USB Host, USB Device and LAN interfaces; SCPI and LabVIEW support are listed by OWON.

Bench Use Notes

  • Use 50-ohm termination when the connected instrument or circuit requires a matched source; otherwise verify the load setting and actual voltage at the device under test.
  • Check channel amplitude, DC offset, coupling and trigger configuration before connecting sensitive circuits.
  • This is a laboratory signal source. It is not a mains-power source or a radio transmitter, and it should be used within its output ratings and normal electrical safety practices.
