OWON CP024 AC/DC Oscilloscope Current Probe

The CP024 is an AC/DC clamp current probe for viewing current waveforms with a compatible oscilloscope. It measures current around a single conductor without opening the circuit; it is not a standalone clamp meter and requires an oscilloscope input to display the signal.

Verified Measurement Capability

• Selectable 4 A, 40 A and 400 A AC/DC current ranges.
• DC to 200 kHz bandwidth (-3 dB) for power-electronics, automotive and general waveform observation.
• 23 mm maximum jaw opening; automatic zero at power-on and low-battery indication.
• 4 A range sensitivity: 1 mV per 10 mA; 40 A: 1 mV per 0.1 A; 300-400 A: 1 mV per 1 A.
• Powered by a 9 V battery. Listed dimensions: approximately 180 x 68 x 32 mm.

Use Notes

• Clamp around one conductor only. Clamping around both supply and return conductors cancels the magnetic field and produces an incorrect reading.
• Zero the probe before low-current DC measurements and select the smallest range that safely covers the expected current.
• Check the probe output connection and oscilloscope scaling before recording a waveform. This product does not measure voltage or replace electrical safety procedures.
• Observe the probe manual's insulation, conductor-placement and maximum-current requirements. Do not use it on conductors that exceed the instrument's specified conditions.
