Waveshare 1.54-inch Tri-Color e-Paper Display, 200 x 200, SPI
This 1.54-inch reflective e-paper display shows black, white and red graphics at 200 x 200 pixels. It is suited to status panels, shelf labels, low-power instruments and other projects where the image is updated occasionally and remains visible without a backlight.

Select the correct option
- 1.54inch e-Paper and 1.54inch e-Paper (B) are display-panel options. They require a matching interface/driver board and compatible cable for use.
- 1.54inch Module and 1.54inch Module (B) include the interface-board form factor with labeled connection pins for SPI projects.
- The (B) label identifies a specific display revision. Match its driver library and initialization settings to the selected hardware; do not assume that a different 1.54-inch e-paper driver will be interchangeable.
Module interface
Module versions expose labeled connections for VCC, GND, DIN, CLK, CS, DC, RST and BUSY. Connect the display to a controller using the pin labels on the board and the driver documentation for the selected revision. Use compatible logic levels and supply voltage for the module and host controller.
Integration notes
- Suitable for Raspberry Pi, Arduino, STM32 and similar SPI-capable controllers when used with a matching library or driver configuration.
- e-Paper has a slower update behavior than OLED or TFT displays. It is best for static or infrequently updated content rather than high-frame-rate animation.
- Handle the flexible display connector carefully. Avoid bending, twisting or pressing the active display surface.
- Use the BUSY signal and the selected driver's refresh timing rather than interrupting a screen update.
